MarioNardoneYou're an amazing CFP®! But are you really CIO material?

Monday, September 9 | 10:10 - 11:00 a.m.

Presented by Mario Nardone
Track: Investment Solutions   Level: Launch

You're a CFP® by trade, but a CIO by default. Managing assets isn't rocket science, but all that other stuff...well, it can get a bit hairy. What parameters should you have around rebalancing? How much due diligence should you be doing on this ETF? All S&P 500 indexes are the same, right?

Turns out, there's quite a few boxes you need to be checking. In this session, Mario Nardone of XY Investment Solutions will walk you through a checklist to make sure you are qualified and equipped to integrate investment management into your firm, whether that be on your own or through delegation/outsourcing.

Mario Nardone

Mario Nardone, CFA, is Chief Investment Strategist for XY Investment Solutions and President & Founder of East Bay Financial Services. He began his career in 1999, with Vanguard, where he consulted institutions and financial advisors on investment policy, portfolio construction, and Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs).

Mario relocated to Charleston in 2010, to serve as Chief Investment Officer and Chief Compliance Officer for an RIA before establishing East Bay Financial Services, the collaborative partner firm of XY Investment Solutions.

Mario is Past President of the CFA Society South Carolina and Former Chairman of the College of Charleston Finance Department Advisory Board. He is an avid traveler, SCUBA diver, and enjoys spending time with his wife, Piper, and their "energetic" lab/shepherd mix, Cady.

Family governance is a system for creating family harmony, preserving family history, and nurturing family values (and wealth) through the purposeful structure and stewardship of the founding family members. Mass affluent families are only one or two generations away from becoming (at least) high net worth ($5 million or more) and can take advantage of this system. In this session, you’ll learn to enhance your financial planning process to bring this opportunity to your clients.
