XYPN's Safety & Security

XYPN's Anti-Harassment Policy

All XY Planning Network (XYPN) members, teammates, partners, affiliates, conference, and/or event attendees (referred to as individuals) are expected to agree with the following policy. Choosing to join the Network or engage in XYPN-sponsored programming evidences your agreement to this policy. We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe and inclusive environment for everybody.

The Purpose of the Policy

XYPN is committed to creating and sustaining an inclusive and safe environment for all individuals through all forms of engagement. The purpose of this policy is to ensure that XYPN is an inclusive, safe, and welcoming community for all—which means it’s a place that individuals can show up as their true authentic selves without the threat of discrimination, sexual harassment, or hostile environments. These policies are in place so that if an incident occurs, there are procedures in place that will help ensure that individuals who are creating harm or harassment are disciplined or removed.

The Policy

XYPN is dedicated to providing a harassment-free and inclusive experience for everyone, regardless of, but not limited to, gender, gender identity and expression, race, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, seen or unseen disability, mental health status, physical appearance, body size, national origin, veteran status, religion (or lack thereof), political affiliation, or technology choices. We do not tolerate institutional or interpersonal discrimination or harassment in any form—including but not limited to micro-aggressions, racism, xenophobia, sexism, ableism, classism, ageism, weight discrimination, mental health status discrimination, transphobia, and/or homophobia.

Specifically, discriminatory or oppressive language, behaviors, actions, verbiage, and imagery are not appropriate for any XYPN venue, including but not limited to the member forums, XY Planning Network’s VIP Community (a private Facebook group), talks, workshops, parties, webinars, and/or online media.

Individuals asked to stop any harassing or discriminatory behavior, actions, verbiage, and imagery are expected to comply immediately. If an individual engages and/or is determined to have engaged in harassing or discriminatory behavior, XYPN may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the Network, conference, or event with no refund or notice.

That being said, XYPN will consider those impacted and their interest in XYPN leveraging the experiences as learning opportunities by encouraging violators to apologize, seek mediation, or offer a resolution themselves. Although XYPN reserves the right to expel any individual who violates this policy, we will work with both parties to the best of our abilities to ensure respectful reconciliation, even in cases where expulsion is necessary.
